BACKGROUND
In 2019, ANSI/ASHRAE/IES 90.1, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, became the latest building standard or code to allow air curtains as an alternative to vestibules, following the International Energy Conservation Code and ANSI/ASHRAE/USGBC/IES 189.1, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings
Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, in 2015 and the International Green Construction Code in 2012.
